I adapted these Marmite & Cheese Swirls from an Asda recipe – they are great for Cam to snack on at home and we take some along with us when we go visiting over Christmas so he has a safe dairy free festive nibble.
They are so easy to make; just roll out some puff pastry or use one of these ready rolled sheets, spread with some Marmite – I found if you mixed the Marmite with a very small amount of hot water it made it much easier to spread. Sprinkle with your choice of dairy free cheese – I used some Cheezly Cheddar from VBites. Roll up like a swiss roll and pop in the fridge for half an hour or so – this make it easier to cut into slices.
Cut into slices approx 2cm thick and place onto a lightly greased baking tray – cook at 200C for about 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbling slightly.
Enjoy warm or cold.
